Jay Tompt

Jay Tompt is a co-founder of the Totnes REconomy Project and Local Spark Torbay, and teaches economics at Plymouth University and Schumacher College. He’s been at the heart of citizen-led and regenerative economic innovation for the last ten years, for example co-developing the REconomy Centre, the Local Entrepreneur Forum model, and the international REconomy Community of Practice. He’s delivered workshops and talks on citizen-led economic approaches in 14 countries. He’s also a co-organiser of the CtrlShift Emergency Summit for Change and the Regenerate Devon Summit. Before moving to the UK, he co-founded a green and ethical DIY distribution and retail network in California.
